This Walla Walla Engagement Session may have been freezing, but it was SO dang fun!

These two literally fell for each other. Or at least Jeanette did.

Years ago in high school, Jeanette was a cheerleader, and then needed to recruit some helpers during practice one day. They started thinking about it, and decided that wrestlers were pretty strong, and they would make the perfect spotters. The stars aligned, and Jorden and Jeanette were teamed up together. As practice went on, Jeanette was the flyer at one point and time, and she ended up falling. Thinking back about it, Jorden told me “I caught her and it was like a feather. She was super light.” Since then, they have been inseparable.

Fast forward a couple years, a lot of fun trips together, and they were planning on another to Cancun. I’ve never been but I hear it is amazing. Anywhere there is a beach always sounds amazing to me though. Little did Jeanette know, but the whole time during planning the trip, Jorden was also planning on proposing while they were there. He said he probably was being kind of a jerk leading up to it. More than he should have been, but he did it on purpose. The hardest thing was trying to figure out how to get the ring down there without her knowing. He decided on wearing it on a necklace while he was going through the airport instead of putting it in his luggage. Smart, if you ask me! He was lucky though!

During security screening, he had to get patted down because of the ring. Once the TSA lady saw the ring, she got all excited and Jorden had to quickly tell her to relax so she didn’t blow the whole thing! Fortunately, Jeanette never noticed and they were still on. Jorden really went all out for his proposal, even down to finding a photographer down in Cancun to capture the moment! They would check in with him once they got down to Mexico, the night of, and they would find the perfect spot for it on the beach. Well the night came and they were supposed to go out to dinner at one of the restaurants at the resort. The kind of restaurant that has a dress code, down to the heels-literally. Before dinner, Jorden told Jeanette he wanted to go down to the beach for a little walk first. Now, I don’t know if many of you have walked in heels, in the sand, but it’s not pleasant, and Jeanette knew this, but she’s a trooper and went anyways. She knew something was going on when he kept going from one spot on the beach, and then turning around and going to a different spot-come to find out he was actually looking for his said photographer, and avoiding seaweed on the beach. After a few strange location changes, they were finally in the right spot, at the right time, and Jorden asked Jeanette to be his wife. They hugged, she cried, they kissed, she said yes, and then they celebrated with dinner. And I’ve seen photos, it was adorable. 🙂

Walla Walla Engagement Session

It’s safe to say that their engagement session was full of jokes, and laughing. You may not believe my by the photos. I loved getting to know these two more and spending the afternoon with them, even if we did freeze! I loved that they added something they both love into their session- the Green Bay Packers. Complete with their cheese-heads, some of my favorite shots were of them just messing around with each other!
