Note to self….Check for gopher holes before putting my stool down and then standing on it. YIKES!
GariAnn of Tin Sparrow Events
I think I was last year, around the beginning of the year, that I was feeling kind of lost. I was still kind of new into this wedding photography business. I had worked with some awesome vendors, but besides a few of them, no one really knew who I was. I knew from the schooling that I was completing with the International Academy Of Wedding Photographers that I needed to reach out. Not only to other photographers, but to florists, venues, and wedding planners! I had no idea where to turn, except Google, so that’s what I did-googled Tricities Area Wedding Planner.
I didn’t know of any wedding planners in our area, and most of my searches found them over in the Seattle area. Though I would love to work over there, it just isn’t the in the cards for me at this time in my life. It’s too hard with babies to have to spend an additional 2 hours in the car just to meet with someone. Fortunately, I was able to find one wedding planner over in Tri-cities. I was so excited that I contacted her straight from her website. She got back to me so quickly, and we made a date to meet up in person.
When the moment I first met Gariann, I knew we were going to get along great. I’m pretty sure she was dresses in lounge wear, with her hair in a messy bun, and I just knew that we were going to go places together. It must be the mom in me, but I feel like I don a messy bun in my pj’s pretty often. HA! She may have been laid back in her attire, but she meant business! I threw her the idea of doing a styled shoot last fall, but due to unfortunate events, it didn’t end up happening, but we decided we would try again come spring. I really can’t wait to show you how that all turns out!! 😀
She looked amazing when we took her new headshots, and I absolutely adore how they turned out. Even if i did go careening to the ground, off my stool, because of a stupid gopher tunnel. We were both super disappointed that I didn’t get shots of that as I was falling, but my cameras were ok and that was all that mattered. 😉
