I don’t even know where to start with this gorgeous Promise Garden Wedding. I knew with the group of amazing vendors that we had for the day that it was going to a be so, so good, and with the couple that we had, that was just the icing on the cake. I know there was a few times during the day that I had to take a step back and remember that this is my job, and I LOVE it.
Promise Garden Wedding
Sean and Kanpapha have been together for years. It all started in high school, and that’s kind of how this new adventure started for them too. You can read all about that on their engagement session post here. I always love getting to spend time with my couples, but also their friends and family on their wedding day. Most of Kanpapha’s family came all the way from Thailand to attend this wedding, and it was so great that they got to be there. It was pretty clear that they love Kanpapha and are so happy to have Sean join their family. Kanpapha’s sister told the story of how before Sean even asked KP to marry him, he had called her to ask if she would be his translator to ask for Kanpapha’s hand from her father. If that doesn’t tell you a little about Sean, I don’t know what would. These two are seriously the sweetest people.
After the ceremony, instead of doing a traditional American receiving line, these two had a Thai water ceremony. Each person [that chose to] came up to Sean and Kanpapha and got the chance to give them their blessing and well wishes. It was such a cool thing to see, and I knew I couldn’t turn down the chance to do it myself. I had my amazing second shooter be sure to get a shot of that! Not every day you get the chance to! 🙂 After the ceremony was complete, dinner was over, and the cake was cut (they had the CUTEST cake topper that looked JUST like them!), it was time for dancing, and these two and their friends didn’t disappoint. I’m not sure I have ever seen such awesome dance moves! These guys have got some skills!
I loved spending the day with these two, and I loved being there to document such a special day for them and their families. Sean and Kanpapha, I’m so excited for the two of you, and I can’t wait to see what adventures await you next! I hope you guys have the BEST time in Mexico!! Again, thank you!
