I loved shooting this Hacket Ranch Engagement Session! These two are so cute together, and they are some of the cutest people I know! We had a blast, probably laughed way too hard, and I got to know these two even better! I can’t wait until their winery wedding next summer!

I’ve known Robin for years now!! I was so excited when I heard she was engaged, and even more excited when she contacted me to be her wedding photographer! Initially, she really had her heart set on getting married here at The Hacket Ranch at Gilbert Cellars, but because they require all their weddings to purchase their wine, they ended up going a different route. I’m so excited to be shooting their wedding at Fontaine Estates next year!!! We figured we’d get the best of both worlds and just do their engagement session here, and it didn’t disappoint. There’s so many awesome spots on their property!! I loved exploring through all of it.

Robin and Jorge met thanks a mutual friend, the glories of social media, and kind of dumb luck. They ended up messaging each other, and then never stopped talking. I’m sure I’m not the first to say it, but these two are stinkin’ adorable!

To Protect and Serve

I don’t think Robin will ever have to worry about either of those things with Jorge. When we were talking about location and outfits, Robin mentioned that they would LOVE to shoot some with Jorge in his uniform, and I absolutely LOVE that they wanted to add that! Those are some of my favorite shots from our whole session! 🙂 It was fun getting to know Jorge, and asking him about what it’s like to be a police officer. Whenever my clients have a more exciting/interesting job, I always have to ask them their craziest/most exciting story, and his was definitely a strange one! It’s fun to see people light up about their occupations, and when you can see that they really love what they do. So cool!

The Proposal

Jorge’s proposal to Robin was one that any girl would dream of. He put a lot of time and thought into just how he would do it. Over a weeks time, he created online invitations to Robin to go on different dates. Date one was for dinner at Cowiche Canyon, where they had their first date. Jorge had tried to get their table they first had, but didn’t have much luck, but they had a great time anyways. Date two was to a movie after dinner! They went to see The Lion, which they said was a great movie! Date three was a date for coffee where they had their first kiss (Robin said that was probably Jorge’s favorite date. HA!). It was in the middle of winter, but before they went off to dinner, they headed to Cascade Garden where Jorge led Robin down a candle lit walkway. They came to a heart that he had made in the snow, and he told her sweet nothings and ended up down on one knee, asking her to marry him. She said yes, but then he told Robin that he wanted someone else to witness it too, and her sweet daughter, April, came out all dolled up, and Robin says that’s when she lost it. A short while later, more important people in their lives joined them, celebrated shortly, and then they headed off to their dinner as fiancees!

I’m so excited to get to celebrate with these guys on their wedding day! I just know it’s going to be a great one!!! 🙂 So here the are! The future Mr. & Mrs!
