I love when I get inquiries from places other than word of mouth and this desert engagement session was one that I got from Instagram! It can be disheartening when you put so much time into what you post, and when, and thinking of captions that are engaging enough that people actually read. It’s a dirty game social media plays, so I always appreciate a win when I get one from it!
Kristina found me from Instagram and when she said her and Miran wanted a location that looked similar to the desert around Vegas, I knew just where we would go! These two are from Seattle, and I was pretty proud that eastern Washington showed off a bit for them! We had been having SO MANY FIRES around our area that the day before I was worried we would have to reschedule, but i’m SO glad we didn’t have to! We had a perfect evening playing in the desert! 🙂
It all started when these two ended up at a few different places together- the first, a roast with her sister and her boyfriend, the second a pre-4th of July party, and then they both ended up at the same concert. They talked all night at the second party and one of Miran’s friends joked that he just found his future wife. Friends are great like that sometimes! 😉 A few days after seeing each other at the concert, Miran messaged Kristina on Facebook and the rest is history! They have been together ever since.
If you’ve been around a little, you know that I love me a good proposal story and their’s was just that! They got engaged in Hawaii, friends, on the beach. They got all dressed up, and Miran told Kristina to wear white (so she wore the white dress here!) and went out to dinner. After dinner, Miran knew there was going to be fireworks so they just walked around on the beach a bit, but unbeknownst to them they were on the wrong beach. They started hearing the boom from the fireworks, but they were on the other side of the beach and all the building were hiding them from view. Kristina thought that was kind of a bummer, but they finally came to a stop on the beach and Miran told her all sorts of sweet things, and asked her what she thought. She was kind of confused and ask what about, then he said “…about making this official?” and got down on one knee and popped the question! She said yes and kissed and hugged, while they heard the fireworks in the background. Pretty romantic if you ask me! 😀
I loved spending the evening with these two, and hearing their story! So here they are–
