One of my favorite things about being a photographer is the ability that I have to be able to photograph my clients from their engagement session to their wedding, and then the chance to photograph them as they prepare to welcome a sweet little baby into their family. This was definitely the case for this country maternity session.
Remember back in 2018? Yeah. Me either. HA! Just last week seems like a year ago. But in all seriousness, 2018 was one heck of a year for weddings, and one of my first was Makaela and Ethan out on her families farm in Zillah. But even before that, we trekked out to the boonies and shot their engagement session in the frigid wind of Roosevelt. Ethan even climbed a power pole. It was a blast. I was so dang excited for them when Makaela reached out to me and asked if we could continue the fun with their maternity session. Of course I said yes.
If you’ve been around here any sort of time, you know that I don’t regularly shoot family/babies/anything but couples, but (fun fact) my past brides get special treatment. I will gladly photograph them, especially when they’re as gorgeous as Makaela with her pregnancy glow. When she sent me the photos of her dresses for the shoot, I was even more excited, and then they told me they wanted to head back out to the farm, and I was like a kid in a candy store.
Our weather was perfect, and we were able to get some beautiful images of their beautiful family, including their sweet red heeler, June. I’m so excited to see their sweet baby boy, and watch their little family grow. Thanks again Mak and Ethan for being a part of the Misty C family. 🙂
