Being a wedding photographer in this day and age can be tough. Long hours of shooting, editing, curating blog posts, running a business, and all the other slew of tasks we have to do just to shoot one wedding can be exausting. It can also be one of the most rewarding occupations EVER. I love being able to share such a special day with my couples. I love that I get to create something that they get to look at for generations to come and relive the day that started it all! The couples that I work with are SO great and they take care of me just like I take care of them! But, with everything digital now-a-days, it can be tough to know your “image etiquette” so here’s 5 ways to show your photographer love!

Share Your Images and Give Credit

One of the reasons I offer my clients the high-resolution digital images for their keeping is how easy it is to share with friends and family! That’s one way I show my love for them. I want them to be able to have those images, for keepsies. One thing you can do to show your photographer JUST how much you love them, is when you share give them credit! All it takes it saying something like “PC: Your photographer’s name here!” Then they get to see that you love your images as much as they do! Another fun way to connect is to use their hashtags!! 🙂

Follow them on Social Media and Be Active

I know how annoying it can be on social media when you keep seeing the same things over, and over, and over. Part of that is Facebooks’ algorithm. When you like or comment on something, it thinks you want to see more things similar to what you like or comment on. Sometimes this is great, but for us smaller businesses or corporations, that makes us sad. One way you can help out your photographer is to like their Facebook page, then make sure that you like or comment on those that you love! It’s simple, takes 2 seconds, and your photographer with love knowing that you continue to love their work!

Let Others See the Photos They Share

One of one of the most annoying things (but also a saving grace for some of us) that social media does (Ahem! Facebook.) is make it so you have to approve an image when you are tagged it. For some images, that’s great. Maybe your friend posts a photo of you for a Throwback Thursday, and you look like you just walked out of your awkward phase. No one wants that shared. But if you’re tagged in an image from your photographer, they want to show all your friends just how stunning you look! Make sure to accept the tag, and allow it on your timeline! It’s a great way to let your friends and family see the image! 😀

Watch Their Blog

It’s always fun when you get your very own blog post! It’s something that I love doing for my clients, and there’s so many other photographers out there doing it! When you make it to the blog, one of the best ways to show your photographer love is to comment ON the blog post! It’s nice to see that someone took the time to read what we put our heart and souls into, and that at least you have seen it! AND…..once you do make it to the blog….

If you share the link of your very own blog with your friends and family, then your photographer REALLY knows that you love them. It’s nice for them because they get to see more images than most probably would get a chance to! They get to know a little bit more about you two, and it’s so fun to have them congratulate you all over again! It’s fun for everyone!

Though these are GREAT ways that you can show your photographer love, there’s many others! One of the BEST ways is to refer friends and family when you have had such an amazing experience and you want them to have the same. It will make them SO happy knowing that you trust not only your special day with them, but your friends and family’s as well!
